2-Day Pottery Workshop with Jane Annois

North Warrandyte Pottery is delighted to present an exclusive 2-day workshop led by the incredibly talented Jane Annois. Whether you're a seasoned potter, or a curious beginner, this workshop promises to ignite your creativity and elevate your pottery skills.

French Flair: Unleash Your Inner Artist

Inspired by the Terre Vernissee tradition from the sun kissed South of France, Jane's style revolves around terracotta clay which provides a deep red base for various slips to be applied. These vessels are then glazed using variations of copper, iron, and cobalt.

Workshop Highlights

Saturday Morning: Ceramics Exploration

Jane will show images of ceramics from other ceramicists who use similar techniques, particularly in France.

Jane will then demonstrate throwing various forms, including hand-building and joining thrown and hand-built components.

Saturday Afternoon: Hands-On Pottery

Roll up your sleeves and shape your own pottery pieces. Jane will guide you through throwing forms and hand-building components.

Sunday Morning: Finesse

Finish your pieces on Sunday morning with guidance from Jane.

Sunday Afternoon: The Art of Slip Application

In the afternoon, discover the unique art of slip application as Jane demonstrates various techniques for applying slip.

Try out new techniques, experiment, and push your creative boundaries.
